Gary Ty England: A Voice for the Heartland

A lifetime Oklahoman with family roots spread from Duncan to Henryetta, Ty grew up between Oklahoma City and a small family farm in Prague, where hard work, faith, and family values weren’t slogans — they were daily life. Revered by music fans as the original Garth Brooks “Side Kick” and band member (and college roommate), Ty later built a successful solo career the old-fashioned way — by taking his brand of country music across the nation and around the world, never failing to share his velvet voice and his Oklahoma heartfelt songs with his beloved fans.

A proud Ronald Reagan conservative and self-described “Limbaugh baby,” Ty grew an early interest in the essence of politics and its often uncomfortable impact on “We The People”. Never a Washington insider, he's instead been on the stage, in the studio, and on the road with the very families he now wants to serve. As national spokesperson for the FFA Alumni, Oklahoma Goodwill Ambassador, and a USO entertainer who performed for troops in South Korea and various bases stateside, he has lived a life of service — using his voice to lift up rural communities, support our veterans, and stand for the heartland values that built this nation.

A devoted husband, father of four, and grandfather of eight, Ty believes in strong borders, fiscal responsibility, school choice, protecting the unborn, defending the Second Amendment, and keeping taxes low so Oklahoma farmers, ranchers, teachers, and small-business owners can thrive. At the same time, his country heart drives him to fight for practical compassion: better support for veterans and non-government based “affordable” healthcare, career opportunities for the next generations, and policies that lift up those who feel left behind — all without ever compromising conservative principles.
